Gardner used to be exactly what it says on the tin. A gardner. One of the earlier version of what back then were still called Automated Assistance Units, or automatons, he was the caretaker of the estate of an obscenely rich aristocrat. Sadly, the estate was attacked and ransacked, with the entire family killed off. Since he was a simple gardener, he was no threat, and was left alone.

Over the long years, Gardner continued rebuilding the estate to mostly its formal glory, but going this long without maintenance and finetuning have left its mark on the poor automaton. The world moved on without him, with the great wars starting. The automatons were repurposed for the war, and became known as warforged. Gar-dner developed curious quirks in his directives, and started developing his own frame of mind to help cope with his appointed task. Over the course of decades, he transformed the entire estate into a luscious haven, even incorporating the old buildings into a new cave system.

However, there was a problem. In transforming the house, he also discovered the hidden vaults buried deep underneath. The documents he found there were probably the reason why the estate was attacked, nearly a century ago now. Since they were hidden so well they were never discovered. Untill now.....
